Finding balance is a constant dance. I’ve finally admitted to myself that I have been working too much lately. It’s difficult for me create boundaries. I love to do so many things within my business + I truly struggle with how to divide my time, energy + efforts. That said, I am energized to share a few helpful tactics I’ve used recently.
1) PRIORITIZE. I’ve written down my 4 core values / goals + I try to align all of my efforts to match these values / goals. No matter what, there will never be enough hours in the day to accomplish everything I’d like. I’ve learned to say “no” to opportunities that do not align with my values / goals.
2) FEEL. I ask myself how do I feel while I am in the midst of preparing or doing the task at hand. If I have an anxiety pit in my stomach, I notice that feeling + try to investigate the why. I am trying to direct my efforts to endeavors that feel super energizing + uplifting.
3) PAUSE. Instead of immediately saying “YES!!” to a new, exciting opportunity, I try to take a few hours to reflect. I look at my schedule + current bandwidth holistically in order to decide if the time is right.
